education1The Leather Conservation Centre hosts internships and placements where undergraduates and recent graduates of conservation courses work alongside members of staff to gain hands-on practical experience with the specific problems associated with the conservation of historic leather objects. Over the past few years, students from Finland, Germany, Austria, France, Spain and the USA, as well as from universities in the UK, have worked at the Centre for periods of up to six months.

In addition, the Centre presents seminars and workshops both nationally and internationally. A three-day workshop for conservators on leather and its conservation is held annually at West Dean near Chichester.

Courses can be tailor made to suit requirements.
